Born in France and educated in the French hotel school system and at Paris’s CNAM (Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers), he began his career as any true hotelier should, at entry-level roles (busboy, waiter, kitchen, reception, accounting) in high-end hotels such as the Plaza Athénée in Paris, gaining foundational experience.
Having progressed through roles at renowned luxury hotels (Splendido, George V, Savoy, Carlton, Excelsior, Imperial, Intercontinental), he ultimately attained executive roles including at Plaza Athénée, understanding not merely the service side of the industry but now the management element.

- CEO/Founder LLPI, a JV with Strategic Hotels & Resorts
- He also has held positions in hotel operators such as Holiday Inn, Intercontinental, Grand Metropolitan, Steigenberger, and others.
He is described by his peers in the industry as “uncompromising in his quest for perfection” and noted for his “resolute grit” and delivering projects “done right.” While his experience and engagement has covered the entire spectrum of the hospitality and real estate arena, his interest lies especially in innovating models which combine residential, hospitality, hybrid‐ownership and membership structures with traditional hotel or country club communities.
Alain leads the organization into the future while the firm emphasizes the next generation is shaping its modern direction by leveraging Alain’s experience and achievements.
